I don't know what you mean with that, but there is a setting in Windows 10 that lets you have a thin taskbar like Vista and older. Here's how to enable a thin taskbar in Windows 10: Open registry editor (regedit). Click Yes if you have UAC enabled. Go to the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced Create a new 32-bit DWORD called TaskbarSmallIcons. Set the DWORD value to 1. Logoff and login again or restart explorer.exe.

On Windows 10 you don't actually use regedit to enable the small taskbar: Just go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar and turn on "Use small taskbar buttons"

On Windows 10 you don't actually use regedit to enable the small taskbar: Just go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar and turn on "Use small taskbar buttons" You misunderstood. When i mean the "thin" sized taskbar, I really mean when the size of the taskbar is smaller than the regular small size. Windows Longhorn Build 4039 is an example since the taskbar is actually smaller than XP's.

The default taskbar height in Windows 95 - Windows 8.1 in Windows Classic theme is 28 px (in XP it can be greater if language bar is enabled). In Windows 10 it seems, is also 28 px, but in Classic theme Win10 taskbar is totally screwed. Besides enabling the Windows Classic theme I know of no other method of enabling 28px taskbar but some third-party software may do that. The last Windows version with 28px taskbar compatible with Windows Classic theme is the pre-release Windows 10 (Windows NT 6.4). The first one is Windows NT 3.51 (with NewShell update).
