My W10 Setup Sept 5, 2018 6:44:02 GMT -8

I went with a hybrid style of Windows 98 and 2000, picking and choosing what I liked from both and mixing them together.
I had to recreate the classic program listing style from scratch, it took a long time to do, but was well worth it.
Control Panel in W10 is butchered, so I redirected all the lose links in the Start menu. Painstaking yes, but again worth it.
MSConfig from XP works just as well as the Win7 version, but lacks the "Tools" - not needed tbh, and this one has the classic icon. Talking about classic icons, I restored the Task Manager's from Windows 2k using Resource Hacker. I ripped mmysys.cpl from W2k and surprisingly it works fine - you change/listen to system sounds, and also change the midi driver: MS in their infintite wisdom, removed this option in XP (or was it Vista) and now the only way to do this, is through the registry. Controlling the sound volume is however, not possible. Also major props to Powerplayer for posting the link to the W2k System Properties, thanks man.
File explorer. Not 100% happy it as I'm stuck with the Command Bar; I can't remove it, even by editing shellstyle.dll - turns out RibbonDisabler adds it. Sod the ribbon, I'd rather have the command bar than that. Other than that, I'm really happy with this. Thanks goes to ROB for the icons, script and Anixx for the address bar remover script. Massive thank you to the pair of you.
My user directory. I restored the classic user folder names ("My Documents", "My Music" etc).
This is my preferred file manager though - best classic one I've come across, and zero bugs.
I decked out Seamonkey the way I like it.
Classic desktop context menu - unlike the previous method I thought up (which was "hacky" and convoluted to say the least), this is super easy to achieve. All it involves it using a bat script, and that's that. I'll post up the method soon.
Classic volume slider - this is a 3RVX skin I made to replicate the Win98/W2k volume slider - and it's pretty accurate. Link here: winclassic.boards.net/thread/267/classic-volume-slider-skin
