EDIT: I figured it out, but it also ended up corrupting my system up. Just spend over two hours undoing and repairing.
I think I'm cool with the default systray icon now. 😥

If you're talking about the Show more button then install SiB++. It supports skinning from .msstyles

I used Windows/Vista Style Builder, which is paid ware, but buggy as hell. I followed all the warnings and steps, and it still ended up screwing up. I'd suggest you not bother with it, and go with Bront's suggestion of using StartisBack++. If you're talking about the Show more button then install SiB++. It supports skinning from .msstyles Thanks, but I tried StartisBack in the past and there was two issues I had with it: 1. It wasn't compatible with Classic Shell (which has the best Start menu skins), and 2. It didn't play nice on my machine. Constant errors, that sort of thing. I've also WindowsBlinds + the "True Classic" theme, and that was pretty much the same (errors, background processes crashing, the start menu not being as good as CS'). I thank you for your help, but at this point, I'm okay with the default W10 icon, at least in terms with skinning via hacking Msstyles I am. TBH, I'm on the lookout for a third party replacement for the notification area/systray, that slides right in and does the same job. No luck finding one though besides ugly docks & application launchers.

The problem is that when you use the msstyles themes, and that was a flaw for me since CS didn't support skinning them and that you have to extract the taskbar pictures from the msstyles itself. With SiB++, everything is good. It supports native msstyles support, taskbar skinning, jumplist skinning. It can even change the taskbar+start menu context menu style. Whether it's classic(sane style) or the horrid win10 context menus style. Why don't you give an another try? There's a classic theme skin for SiB++ that was made by one of the forum's members. I can link to it if you want.

I tried Sptifire's SIB skin in the past. Problem with it (and SIB in general) is the Start menu is W7-style. I'm not a fan of that. I like my classic (9k, namely 98) start menu. As great as SIB++ is at taskbar skinning, it pales at what Classic Shell does with SMs.
I thank you for trying to help, but SIB is not the way to go for me.
