Been scavenging for various stuff to make my pc look more like Windows XP and just wondering what the basic tips and general recommendations are for such a conversion, so far what Ive downloaded is Luna10 + PerfectLuna10, Startisback++, Openshell, Resource Hacker (for app icons), and Windhawk for classic selection style, I have tried using basic themer but for some reason it causes file explorer to lose the top windows part and the buttons become really small. If you have any great tips than feel free to share

You most likely have this already, but Retrobar is necessary in this types of modification.
Also worth to mention. There is skin for Openshell, which allows for XP theme "Embedded", "Zune", "Royale" and "Royale Noir" if you want
