Do you know any Linux application that can be used to mimic some of the programs that were on older windows versions? (E.g: Paint, Notepad, Calculator, Media player, File explorer, Task Manager, Sound recorder etc.)
On my Linux setup I always have been using Galculator and Leafpad as a replacement for 9X Calculator and Notepad respectively, and as you can see on the images they have a very close look to the 9X ones.
But for other applications like Paint, Media Player or Task Manager, I couldn't find a proper substitute. If you know about any other alternatives that looks like and can be used to substitute those old Windows programs, let me know.
Thank you

Personally, I find that TDE applications are very good replacements. It is quite possible to make them look like Windows because they are very customizable.
