im transforming windows 10 to look like windows 7, i don't wanna use 7tsp packs just because they break regedit tho, so can someone upload patched win10 icon dlls that has 7 icons

im transforming windows 10 to look like windows 7, i don't wanna use 7tsp packs just because they break regedit tho, so can someone upload patched win10 icon dlls that has 7 icons You can use a 7tsp pack and then do sfc /scanfile C:\Windows\regedit.exe in an elevated Cmd and then replace the icon manually using resource hacker

Just open the 7TSP pack in 7Zip and delete regedit.exe.res, simple as that. actually i saw an res file called regedit.exe.mui.res, so i deleted that, but i didn't find that file tho (regedit.exe.res) That also does it. Basically don't leave any file with the name regedit in it and you should be fine. Just to be extremely sure after you install the 7TSP pack open an evelated command prompt and run this command: sfc /scanfile=C:\Windows\regedit.exe If your regedit breaks this command will fix it.
