Hello! I have decided to share my second setup (the first one was not something to be proud of) The OS is Windows 8.1
I plan to remove the ugly watermarks in the lower corner soon. Also, I want to somehow figure out how to remove the Malwarebytes Tray Application from the tasklist.
Start menu [WIP]:
I plan to add an Documents section containing all the most commonly used links, and also the most commonly used programs (which will cause the "Windows NT 6.3 Workstation" text to not be cut off).
I plan to remove the details pane at the bottom, also I need to get better icons and remove the command bar and put an address bar there (Does anyone know of any good programs?)
Programs used: Open-Shell Menu with default Classic Skin ClassicThemeTray for generating the Classic Theme. FolderOptionsX AHK script to remove address bar SimpleClassicThemeTaskbar 7+ Taskbar Tweaker (not sure if it affects the SimpleClassicThemeTaskbar, so I kept it) ReactOS's keyboard switcher fxxkmetro by anixx DwmUnExtendFrame by Splitwirez to fix the glitches in Pale Moon
Bonus: The first setup. The OS was Windows 10 LTSC:
Everything is pretty much fine expect the taskbar. I had chosen to not fix the taskbar back then, and left it as is. (And also, I had an antivirus, which is an no-no when doing anything Classic Theme-related)

This is a misconception; you can have an antivirus running with classic theme (I have Malwarebytes running all the time and fire up Defender for a scan every now and then) and be fine. You just have to add whatever you use as an exclusion so your antivirus doesn't freak out with it. Running a computer without antivirus is not advised.
soapmusic27: But it skind really well and supports Chrome and Firefox. But no other browsers for now. You can theme PaleMoon (a Firefox fork) to match your theme though, or at least come closer to it.

Hayafumi: I wonder why Open-Shell has such small width since when I went to Classic-Shell 4.3.0 it could be very long

ihatemetro: soapmusic27 I also agree, Windows should be as customizable as Linux and it's a shame that it isn't. Unlike Mac OS, Windows actually has the resources to be customizable while Mac OS doesn't. I hate that M$ is pushing us to uncustomizable, awful metro.

Hayafumi: I absolutely hate the future of 10, spaced things where you can see less things before, so minimal and modern!!!!!

ihatemetro: Hayafumi Also agreed, thank god Linux exists. At least it doesn't force a tablet UI on you. I could stay on v1903 because of the v2004 searchbox, but not for long, if I still want to keep Windows.

Hayafumi: Windows limits the hell out of customization, macOS doesn't really have the tools to customize it. Linux is essentially the last big OS that has user freedom.

novadelta2: I'm planning on switching to linux because Windows 7 is becoming obsolete and Windows 10 is fucking ugly as hell

novadelta2: gonna use Ubuntu with TDE who's entire purpose is to have a 2000's UI
Sept 18, 2020 20:23:35 GMT -8
ihatemetro: novadelta2 I wish TDE was in Arch repos, currently it's a nightmare to install and I got build errors. Edit: It's not even in AUR either. Edit 2: There was a repo all along, I installed it, yay.

meow: Arch is trash. Any attempt to install it after a few days pacman stops working. Even manjaro has this issue. fscking garbage.

meow: There is a fix for it, but pacman stops working after few days again.
