Copy the taskbar files into C:\SCT\Taskbar (If it's non-existent then create that directory), then open SCT, go to File > Options, go to the bottom dropdown menu, select "SCT Taskbar (Alpha)", then press enable, and then you have the taskbar. Do not use any other classic theme solutions like ClassicThemeTray or ClassicThemeA.exe. Too complicated it gives same bullshit about sct not being installed spite of it being there in sct . This program is not really there yet it should not ask for net or sct it should just load you knowe like startisback does , its earlier versions at least loaded up i just like programs that load up without hassle this one its not for me i fear ... The idea of SCTT is that it’s an extension to SCT (hence the name). ihatemetro has overcomplicated things in his explanation a bit. Tried that sez alpha does nothing at all it just creates a folder and gives sctt not installed crap dude your taskbar failed unless there is a crack to bypass those error messages and force it open |

Have you tried clicking "Install" (auto-launch) and running Simple Classic Theme from the start menu?

Well, that's the thing you have to fix in order to get SCT Taskbar to work. Here's an instruction if you still want to try it out:
Delete the folder C:\SCT and the registry keys HKCU\SOFTWARE\1337ftw and try again. Do the steps in this order:
1. Open SCT from the file you downloaded
2. "Install" (auto-launch)
3. Open SCT from your Start Menu.
4. Click File -> Options (or press Alt+F and then O)
5. Select SCT Taskbar (alpha) in Taskbar Type (This is still incorrectly branded as SCT Taskbar is in beta not alpha anymore)
6. It'll ask you if you want to install SCT Taskbar, press Yes
7. Click OK
8. Press Enable
SCT will auto-launch on startup, and restore classic theme to the state it was before you shut down. So if you had SCT on before shutting down in will automatically enable, and if you had SCT off it will do nothing. Whenever SCT enables it'll automatically start SCT Taskbar with elevated privileges.

too much work i just WAnted it to run over my startisback and classicthemea without hassle seems it wont happen anytime soon.

This is what happens for me when I do precisely what you said on a clean installation of LTSB 2016. Why isn't the taskbar working? I've also tried it with and without the "Classic Taskbar" thing ticked, and the result is the same.
