Wow. The accuracy is almost pixel perfect - even the rebars look like they were emulated well

Recreated Windows 2000 tray volume mixer. Doesn't require PulseAudio, uses ALSA.

Rewrite of Windows 2000's welcome.exe. Not completely accurate but accurate enough. Fonts don't look completely accurate because of the Wine Tahoma font. (or maybe Linux font rendering? Not sure.)

I have two questions for you: which framework do you use (or is it all written in C)? And where were you 15 years ago? :-)

I have two questions for you: which framework do you use (or is it all written in C)? And where were you 15 years ago? :-) For the first question, I am using TCL/TK. I use canvasses for drawing widgets (since they are well, a canvas, they are infinitely customizable.)
For the second, I wasn't into computing yet.

It's just that when I started making the icon theme, I had a Napoleonic plan to completely recreate the Windows 98/2000 interface (with all system settings and more) in a Linux environment. Now the plans are much more modest, I want to make simple utilities for working with icons... And of course, a customizable desktop like a Talisman, but not as slow and heavy as Plasma. Won't it be too hard to do in Tcl/Tk? Here is my unfinished, almost abandoned project: github.com/nestoris/icon-theme-tool

Won't it be too hard to do in Tcl/Tk? I actually use YAD for most things, but TCL/TK for more complicated things (TCL/TK is very flexible with it's canvasses and frames). Thought you were talking about the welcome.exe recreation.

wait, did you made a desktop environment from scratch? Mostly. I am modifying other projects however a lot of this is self-made.
