I updated PerfectLuna10, did minor things generally improving the theme and making it alot more accurate. Most notable is a more accurate context menu in padding and etc, a fake throbber on the explorer toolbars, made the status bar gripper transparent. I also made the color scheme alot more accurate. Btw, I tried it yesterday, and it gave me the black screen of death. No clue why, the previous version worked, but this one for some reason didn't? Although, it does add a fake throbber to the explorer, so maybe I need to also install the Explorer hook from SecureUXTheme for it to work properly..? No clue, I haven't tried that yet

Noir10 has been updated, there is no longer a need in using 2 msstyle files. The theme will now correspond what the user's font rendering settings are, even with ClearType Tune settings. If you want this convenient update on other themes based on LUNA10, use this RES file on the msstyle using Resource Hacker. Attachments:FontRendering.res (7.86 KB)

Heyo!
I joined the fourm just so I could install this, which is super sick btw but I'm pretty new to theming / patching and I have no idea what I'm doing. All I'm getting is the colour changed to grey and the topbars being utterly broken. I attempted to patch my system with SecureUxTheme and I'm using BasicThemer5, but that still isn't helping. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
Thanks!

Hello rubysvn, and welcome to the WinClassic forum ! You may be using SecureUXTheme incorrectly. SecureUXTheme does not patch anything, it modifies the third-party visual style in real time to make it work. If you want to patch UX theme, you have to use this : mhoefs.eu/software_uxtheme.php

Hello everyone! I'm also new to the forum and it seems my Perfect Luna 10 install is only configured half way for some reason? I installed StartIsBack++, BasicThemer5, UltraUXThemePatcher_4.4.0, OldNewExplorer, and Window_Metrics_and_Colors. I also followed the installation guide in the original Luna 10 zip by vprvnc, but for some reason the results don't look right. Can someone help me out? Thanks in advance Attachments:

I hope you don't mind, I did a mini port to Windows 11. Turns out the black borders were because of the new "Parts" they added, just disable Rounded corners with ExplorerPatcher, replace Part 26 +27 and you're good to go for menus! Attachments:

I think it's possible to create a Windhawk mod to disable visual style just for menus, the same way it was done for desktop icons.

Any chance you could give it to us? Also does it have that infamous bug where a specific window would stay after it's supposed to close?
Also what do you mean by Part 26 + 27?

the "Part 21-27" is exclusive to Windows 11, I believe its for drawing the modern Menus, they I guess overright the old classic menus? Not totally sure, but since Luna10 is made for Windows 10, it lacks these parts making the menus break and non functional also I never had that problem so im not sure Attachments:

a little explorer wip im not doing much, im simply just replacing the files, margins, etc with what Travis, vprvnc did (so all credit to them!) it would just be easier to add the Windows 11 parts to the Windows 10 theme but I don't think that's possible lol Attachments:

How can I install this correctly? Everytime I try it seems to be messed up. Such as wrong colour text on the titlebar and the coreners being square. Im using Windows 10 iOt LTSC, installed Ultrauxthemepatcher, basicthemer3, and newoldexplorer.

Did you install the Theme correctly? Make it sure in Windows/Resources/Themes. Luna10.theme + Luna10 (Folder) should be in there
also sometimes installing UltraUXThemePatcher can get messed with by Windows Defender or any virus program, but just incase, rerun the setup as administrator and make sure everything is patched!
When installed and everything is working to fix the titlebar color, go to settings, color, and makesure you set the color to default blue, and check the "Show accent color on title bars and window borders" is checked

I should've known to turn off dark mode as well.
