wufzheevk: Someone knows how to get the pixelated classic font on win xp and older? I believe itΒ΄s Tahoma but on my win 10 its rendered in a higher definition. Oct 7, 2019 16:01:39 GMT -8
1337ftw: It is Tahoma but on my end it looks the same as the old one. Not sure though. Oct 8, 2019 7:44:08 GMT -8
1337ftw: why would you need Open/Classic Shell in the first place? Oct 8, 2019 7:45:56 GMT -8
clasurol: You might be thinking of MS Sans Serif. Remember, if you change your font and want it to look pixelated, you'll need to disable Cleartype and all forms of anti-aliasing on your system as well. Oct 8, 2019 9:30:24 GMT -8
1337ftw: Completely forgot I disabled ClearType. Tried on another PC and Tahoma is indeed smoothed out. As to the font you would want, it depends on what OS font you like the most: Oct 8, 2019 11:02:26 GMT -8 *
1337ftw: Tahoma = Win2K/WinXP Oct 8, 2019 11:02:40 GMT -8
1337ftw: MS Sans Serif = WinME or older Oct 8, 2019 11:02:57 GMT -8
1337ftw: and ofc Segoe UI = Windows Vista and newer Oct 8, 2019 11:03:08 GMT -8
1337ftw: NOTE: MS Sans Serif is NOT TO BE CONFUSED with Microsoft Sans Serif. These are 2 DIFFERENT fonts Oct 8, 2019 11:05:37 GMT -8
1337ftw: MS Sans Serif is a rasterfont and Microsoft Sans Serif is a ClearType font. To this day, both fonts are still in Windows 10. Oct 8, 2019 11:08:20 GMT -8
1337ftw: If you don't want to disable ClearType. I would recommend using MS Sans Serif as it's not a ClearType font. Oct 8, 2019 11:10:13 GMT -8
powerplayer: does that contextmenu reg work on 32 bit os? Oct 8, 2019 17:37:16 GMT -8
powerplayer: i mean the contextmenu dll that is in simpleclassicui does it work on win32? Oct 9, 2019 0:34:41 GMT -8
1337ftw: You're mixing things up. Win32 is the application framework Windows uses. Windows 32-bit is the 32-bit version of Windows. Oct 9, 2019 8:11:23 GMT -8
1337ftw: As to your question, no it does not work on Windows 32-bit Oct 9, 2019 8:11:48 GMT -8
powerplayer: But is it possible to make a 32bit version of the contextmenu files? Oct 12, 2019 12:00:54 GMT -8
1337ftw: It's not my fix so I have no idea how it works or if it has any way of working with it. Oct 13, 2019 12:55:59 GMT -8
powerplayer: if it gives you a skinny contextmenu just open any folder and rightclick on a file then it will work Oct 14, 2019 15:51:12 GMT -8
janelasxp: [WinXP] Oct 14, 2019 18:32:40 GMT -8
powerplayer: updated waterfoxportable with classictheme on both the megathread and software palemoon thread Oct 16, 2019 23:01:35 GMT -8
